So you scored a big interview. Congratulations! As you prepare for the interview it is important to keep in mind what documents to bring to a meeting with a potential employer. In this episode of Tips For Job Seekers we take a quick look at what to prepare and take with to a job interview.

The most important items to bring to a job interview are:

  • Your resume
  • A completed job application
  • Signed reference forms
  • A professional portfolio if necessary for your field

A few additional tips include ensuring your job application and reference forms are complete before the interview. To make the best impression, you don’t want to arrive to meet a potential employer without completed paperwork. If you are in a creative field such as marketing, graphic design or writing, an employer will also want to take a look at your professional portfolio.
