Description / Qualifications

This client is awesome! They have a great downtown office. The position is a Service Coordinator/Dispatcher and provides a wide variety of coordination services; and processes service requests pertaining to routine and emergency maintenance issues.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates requests for repairs and maintenance, assigns personnel and expedites emergency work orders.
  • Dispatches maintenance personnel to process service requests and ensures prompt resolution of maintenance issues.
  • Dispatches day porters in response to emergent tenant requests
  • Prepares written materials (e.g. requisitions, leave reports, memos, work requests, etc.) to document activities, provide written reference, convey information and comply with financial, legal and administrative requirements.
  • Informs site personnel regarding the status of work orders.
  • Maintains manual and electronic documents, files and records (e.g. work orders, leave reports, inventories, parts and material requisitions, etc.)
  • Responds to inquiries from customers, staff, vendors, etc. to resolve maintenance issues and ensures service excellence. Identifies repair needs to prioritize work assignments.
  • Schedules work assignments.
  • Processes a variety of materials (e.g. work orders, requisitions, stock room orders, etc.)
  • Secures department substitutes and maintains the on call schedule.
  • Assists other personnel as may be required.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • A college degree with a focus in business administration is preferred.
  • Three years of experience performing responsible customer service, coordination, dispatch, record keeping, and effective interaction with the public.
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication.
  • Keyboarding and 10 key punch.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Type 45 words per minute
  • Organize records and information electronically.
  • Work effectively with frequent interruptions.
