Our Madison area client is looking for a positive, friendly, and motivated Delivery Service Representative (Delivery Driver) to join their team! The Delivery Service Representative is responsible for delivery and pickup of orders or materials from customers and vendors in a timely manner, coordinating workload accomplishment to meet customer requirements while achieving optimum productivity, and working closely with other company personnel to meet or exceed customer expectations. The Delivery Service Representative is the main interface with customers and therefore must provide a competent and personable representation of the company the main interface with customers and therefore must provide a competent and personable representation of the company. Being in contact with customers, vendors and employees, and in a key position for guaranteeing their satisfaction, this position position requires confidentiality, tact, sensitivity, and professionalism. Routes are local to Madison, and hours Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to around 3:30 p.m. (whenever your route is completed). This employee operates a 14ft box truck and is not required to have a CDL.


  • Communicate effectively with the General Manager/Owner, the Distribution Team, the Sales Team, and office personnel, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that the sales and customer objectives are met
  • Meet schedules and time lines
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Follow systems and procedures outlined in the company manuals
  • Participate as a key player in the Distribution Team by supporting operations as needed
  • Coordinate with the Distribution Team to schedule daily deliveries and pick ups
  • Remain flexible to restructure schedule as needed
  • Drive vehicle to and from destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and observe legal and safe driving practices
  • Load and unload delivery goods
  • Exercise appropriate methods for lifting and loading, boxes, supplies and office furniture
  • Comply with all OSHA safety requirements
  • Maintain vehicle in good working condition
  • Maintain vehicle in clean and fueled readiness condition
  • Inform supervisor of any vehicle problems


  • Must be familiar with Madison area and able to read a map/guide
  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and operation
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a good motor vehicle record
  • High school or GED equivalent
  • Must have a positive and upbeat attitude, even in heavy traffic and unusual or adverse driving
  • Must be hard working and self-motivated
  • Must have excellent verbal and communication skills
