Description / Qualifications

Our client is looking for a field assistant to assist with their construction project in Evansville. Job responsibilities include the following:

  • Support the construction project manager & construction superintendent on the following activities and more
    • Enter and submit time sheets
    • Verify T&M from field to payroll
    • Gather and send new employee information to payroll
    • Maintain and distribute trend charts, Plangrid reports, Operator Inspection sheets, concrete and soil testing reports, daily end of shift reports, etc.
    • Schedule jobsite visits and Operations, pre-install, client, architect/engineer, and sub-contractor
    • Take jobsite photos on a weekly basis & distribute accordingly
    • Coordinate safety lunches
    • Print job information for field personnel and foremen as needed
    • Update safety sign
    • Order supplies for the field (lumber, hardware, etc.)
    • Send Yard Orders and Tool transfers to the Yard
  • Distribute varieties of documents (letters, reports, memos, meeting minutes etc.). May entail producing confidential documents.
  • Ensure routine work items (daily, weekly, monthly, data reports, and similar items) are received. Follow-up and expedite late items.
  • Maintain a clean office environment and buy supplies as needed
  • Update blueprints & contract documents when new documents are produced by the design team.
  • Receive, send & distribute submittals, shop drawings & samples to & from subcontractors, suppliers & designers.
  • Assist in the RFI process: • Submit all RFI’s
    • Track responses, send logs to the Architect and Engineers
    • Update the RFI Log weekly
    • Post all paper sets and electronic sets of drawings with RFI’s/CB’s
  • Maintain electronic & physical files & record documents

This candidate must be professional and diplomatic in dealing with external contacts. This position has continual contact with owners, labor and government and similar group representatives and must maintain a positive work atmosphere
