Description / Qualifications

Our Madison-area client (west side) is seeking an Account Executive for developing new business and providing top quality service to existing clients which includes analyzing of clients’ insurance programs and tailoring the policies that fit their clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

  • Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective client
  • Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs, detailed information on the property to be insured, and to discuss any existing coverage
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients to include providing high quality service/prompt responses
  • Develop relationships with underwriters to negotiate premiums, terms and conditions on behalf of client
  • Ensure timely premium collection from clients
  • Round out accounts by selling additional coverages that the clients need
  • Out of town and overnight travel may be required at times
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications

  • BA or BS or applicable job experience
  • 1-3 years experience in sales or related field
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must hold a current resident P&C and/or Life & Health license within 30 days of being hired.  A pre-licensing course is provided.  Employees have a maximum of two attempts to pass the exam.  If employee fails to pass within two attempts employment will be terminated.
  • Must pursue professional designations and complete any carrier classes that are applicable
  • Maintain continuing education credits as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adapting to changing deadlines and priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Excellent  service orientation skills
